The maintenance project of Chamdo Champa Ling Monastery with above 90 million yuan of investment will be completed in June of 2014.
The Champa Ling Monastery was established in 1473 and is the largest Gelug monastery of Tibetan Budhism in Kham Area. It is one of the key projects in Tibet during the "12th Five-Year Plan" and is also the first large-scale relic conservation project in Chamdo Prefecture. The maintenance project of Chamdo Champa Ling Monastery with above 90 million yuan (about 14 million U.S. dollars) of investment will be completed in June of 2014.
At present, about 70 percent to 80 percent of the total project has been completed and the whole project will be fully finished in June of 2014.
The construction enterprise in charge of the project also participated in the three key cultural relics protection maintenance projects in the past years, including the Potala Palace, the Sakya Monastery and the Norbulingka.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
