The beautiful scenery of Nyingchi attracts more and more visitors
Peach blossom festival in Nyingchi in southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region
With the improved tourist facilities, Nyingchi located in the southeast of the Tibet Autonomous Region has drawn a big flock of tourists. Statistics from the Nyingchi Tourism Bureau shows that by the first quarter of this year, the number of domestic and international visitors has reached 155,000, up 16.82 percent year on year,and the tourist revenue amounted to 137 million yuan, increased by 32.23 percent that of last year.

Nyingchi is known for its beautiful landscape and ecological conditions with relatively lower altitude, mild climate and rich ethnic and cultural features. There are 24 scenic spots including seven Class A ones, comprising the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, the largest canyon in the world,the Medog Trekking routs, top of the 10 trekking routes in China, and the National Highway 318 dubbed as "China’s most beautiful scenic road."
Wang Jun, director-general of the Tourism Bureau of the Nyingchi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture said, Nyingchi has been making its efforts to build itself into the "World ecological tourist zone" by taking advantage of its rich natural resources and through creating some tourist programs such as the Yarlung Zangbo Canyon Tourist Festival and Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival. In the meanwhile, it has set up 31 information and service stations in 27 provinces across China, including southwest China’s Sichuan and Yunnan Province and Chongqing Municipality, the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta in the south as well as Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province in the north.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
