Qushui Country has celebrated the Ongkor Festival
People who have their Tibet travel in July and August can get a chance to take part in the Ongkor Festival. Qushui Country has celebrated the Ongkor Festival from July 30, 2012.
The Ongkor Festival celebrated by Tibetan farmers between July and August of Tibetan calendar every year, praying for harvest of crops, is one of the most important traditional festival for Tibetans.
It is said that Ongkor Festival has a history of more than 1500 years. The name of Ongkor Festival means "the days when walking around the field" in Tibetan.
After walking around the cornfields, local Tibetans began the entertainment event as well as the the entertainment event which lots of people will attend.
The programs include Tibetan Opera, sing and dancing, riding horses, archery, tug of war and so on. They used their way to cele brate the harvest of this year.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
