Impression on Tibet Photography Exhibition open in Beijing

The first Impression on Tibet Photography Exhibition is opened at the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing. Tourists can view the beautiful and mysterious Tibet before travelling to Tibet.

Altogether 300 selected photos will be exhibited including 50 awarded artworks, 150 award entries, 50 pieces of works from guest photographers and 50 old photos of Tibet’s history.

Co-sponsored by China Tibet Online and China Photographers Association, with the support of Tibet Photographers Association and 24 cypermedia, the contest is aimed to present a real Tibet to the world themed on "nature, culture, happy life and historical change".

Launched on July 17, 2012, the contest has collected 41,086 pieces of photographic works from 2,674 participants from China and other countries. The photos which showcase changes in Tibetan people's life, freedom of religious belief, and achievements made in environment, and cultural preservation in modern and harmonious Tibet.

The exhibition will be a platform of competition between distinguished photographers, a visual feast of masterpieces and an opportunity of exchanges between professional and amateur photographers. We welcome friends from all circles to visit the exhibition.

The photo exhibition will last until October 21, 2012, with some of them to be displayed in a tour exhibition overseas in the future, according to the organizer.

About the Author - Master Catherine Jigme

With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.

Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
