Catch an eye on Laigu Glacier in Tibet
The Laigu Glacier is the name for a group of glacier in the Rawo , Baxio Town of Qamdo area, Tibet. It is next to the Rawo Lake which is one of the three biggest glacier in the world.
It is the origin of Parlung Zangbo. The thrawing ice and snow flow into the Rawo Lake. The thick virgin forest is around the Rawo Lake. Local Tibetan village lies here for so many years.
The glacier includes more than six glaciers among which the Talong Glacier is the most wonderful one. The whole Yalong Glacier is 12 kilometers long and lasts from the main peak of Kangri gav with an elevation of 6606 meters. To the Kangri gav lake with an elevation of 4000 meters. Because the climate here is with enough rain which is good for the growth of glacier. The Laigu Glacier is the kind of ocean glacier.
Walking from Rawo Town to the Laigu village you will see the green forest in the sun. The sky is blue and replecting in the pure water which looks like beautiful painting. Arounding the Laigu Vellage there are many glaciers that even formed icy lakes. Different lakes will reflect different colors. There are some icy hills floating on the lakes that you will feel you are in the Antarctic Pole.
When you stay in the village, the local Tibetans will treat you as precious guest. If you want to have China and Tibet travel, you can go there taking train from Chengdu to Lhasa or by Tibetan Railway.
