Cultural relics damaged by earthquake to be restored
The restoration covers 42 kinds of relics, such as post, bridge, shops, tea garden and inscription.
The local government has made a thorough investigation on damage along the Ancient Tea-Horse Road including 11 and 37 cultural relic protection sites of state and provincial level respectively.
Renowned relics such as the Royal Tea Garden, Sweet Dew and Spring Dolmen, as well as Ancient Ghaut Road in Mengdingshan Mountain were damaged in varying degrees due to the Lushan earthquake.
Plans to protect and restore those relics have been almost completed, with some of which already carried out.
Authority said the restoration will last until the end of this year, when all relics there will be opened to public successively.
