Walnut Festival to kick off in Tibet
Gyatsa County has been renowned for its walnut for thousands of years.
The two-day 2nd Dagpo Walnut Festival will be held in Gyatsa Couty of Tibet, Sep. 16, 2013, with the preparatory work well underway, according to Tibet Daily.
Gyatsa County has been renowned for its walnut for thousands of years. The local walnut was given silver award and excellent product award in the 2008 National Walnut Fair and the 2nd Forestry Expo China 2011 respectively.
In recent years, Gyatsa County strives to build a high-quality Tibetan walnut base by taking advantage of its brand advantage.

The organizing committee will arrange performances by folk troupes from different regions and sports competitions for the farmers and herdsmen as well as activities such as special agricultural products promotion, handicrafts exhibition and outdoor celebrations to further promote the tourism image of the holy Lhamoi Lhatso Lake and MillenniumWalnut Forest.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
