The Smart City--Nyingchi

Nyingchi was listed among the 2013 national pilot smart cities by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China. This list contains 103 cities.
What is a smart city on earth? The city with swift development of new-generation information technology and knowledge-based economy, and have infrastructure like internet, telecommunication, TV and Wi-Fi. What we called “smart” has to cover technology, industry, service and most importantly, people’s life.
Nyingchi is aimed at providing a safe and well-organized environment to not only the locals, but also to visitors. The government, trying to be more and more effective and transparent would guarantee a happy,and healthy life for Tibetan people.

Generally speaking, the smart city mainly concentrates on “safe Nyingchi”, “harmonious Nyingchi”, “well-off Nyingchi”,”ecology-friendly Nyingchi” and “hospitable Nyingchi”.
Public infrastructures, ranging from cloud computing center, basic internet service platform, supporting platform of data and application service to information security management platform are also taken into consideration by government.
At this time, if u travel to Nyingchi, when enjoying the original and wild landscape, you can also tell your friends the amazing scenery via the smart technology.
