Cozy life in Tibet attracts German couple

Mr. and Mrs. Guder are a couple travelling to Tibet from Germany in early September. The cozy life in Tibet attracts the German couple greatly. Humming the popular love song written by the 6th Dalai Lama with their fingers drumming on the table as the bright rhythm beating, the German couple finished another cup of highland barley wine--this is the way that they end up their tour in Tibet.

The well-know Makye Ame Tibetan Restaurant, also known as the "yellow house" in Lhasa, is where Mr. and Mrs. Guder say goodbye to Tibet.

"Sitting here surrounded by strong Tibetan features and watching people shuttling in the crowd of pilgrims is the best yet comfy way we could imagine to spend our last day in Lhasa. That's wonderful," said Mr. Guder.

The Guders from Germany are crazy about Chinese culture and addict to its landscape. In the past few years, they've visited Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Yunnan and other Chinese provinces.

In early September, the couple arrived in Tibet and has so far stayed here for 18 days. They reached the plateau by train since they don't want to miss the amazing scenery along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway which is believed as an engineering miracle in the world.

During their sojourn, the couple travelled around Lhasa, Shigatse and went through the physical problem to reach the base camp of the Mt. Everest, the world’s highest peak.

As of Tibetan food, the couple likes Tibetan yak meat and Tibetan noodle best, saying that are the best they've ever eaten. In their views, Tibetan food is not only a part of Tibetan culture but a mirror showing the happy life of Tibetan people.

"We are shocked by the amazing landscape. It is incomparable. We are moved by the honest and kind Tibetan people. We can feel that they are living a cozy and happy life. " said Mr. Guder.
