As the highest peak in the world, it attracts many people. Its actual name in Tibetan is Mt. Qomolangma (pronounced Chomolangma).
Qomolangma is a transliteration from Tibetan, meaning "goddess of mountain." The 8,848-meter Qomolangma is the main peak of the Himalayas. Situated on the border between China and Nepal, it is the highest mountain in the world. This majestic peak has long attracted mountaineers, scientists, and ordinary tourists.

Firstly, you should come to China and contact a local travel agency 86-28-85552138(foreigner entering Tibet with a Chinese guide and a Tibet Entry Permit are necessary).Then, arriving Lhasa, you could visit the famous Potala Palace ,Jokhang Temple and so on first. Following You need rent a off-road vehicle( parts of the way from Lhasa to Shigatse----the second city in Tibet and are bumpy).Passing Lhatze Tingri county town reaching Rongbok Monastery----the highest altitude monastery, you will find the holy mountain comes into view. Besides the Rongbok Monastery, Everest Base Camp is the best place to taking picture, you can enjoying the chill air and grand viewing at the same time.
