All temples in Tibet will be equipped with TVs and radios
Investments in equipping all temples in Tibet with TV and radio are guaranteed to be realized by 2012, revealed on the teleconference of the municipal government of Tibet Autonomous Region on December 7 to enhance the region temples' public cultural service and enrich the spiritual life of the temples' monks and nuns.
Tibet strived to carry out the implementation of bringing radio, film, television, newspapers and bookstores into temples since 2009. In order to advance culture development of monasteries, the project has received mass positive feedbacks from the recipients.
By the end of 2012, the project will be completed when all monks and nuns in Tibet could get access to various digital communications and spiritual enjoyments, according to Cuiyu Ying, the Autonomous Region Party committee member, minister of the Propaganda Department.
