Sichuan Tibet Highway is Interrupted by Torrential Flood

Sichuan-Tibet Highway is interrupted by torrential flood caused by continually heavy rainfall attacking most area of the west of China recently. Many sections of the highway are destroyed by flood or blocked by landslide. It even snowed at the section passing by the Zheduo Mountain in July. Many tourists to Tibet were trapped.

Therefore, those who plan a tour to Tibet along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway must prepare fully to respond to an emergency incident like this. Actually it is the best travel time to Tibet now. Since it is the rainy season in most places of Tibet, Nyingchi Prefecture in particular, landslide occurs quite often.
