The Yamdroktso Lake, located in the Nakartse County in Tibet’s Lhoka Prefecture, is regarded as the most beautiful water in the world. Yamdroktso is the biggest enclosed lake on the northern slope of the Himalayas.
Draksum-tso, a verdant lake at an altitude of some 3,700 meters, is on the list of the World Tourist Organization’s top tourist attractions. Viewed as the holy lake of the Nyingma Sect, it is also one of the largest fresh water lakes in the eastern part of Tibet.
Located in the Damxiong County of Lhasa, the Namtso Lake, also known as “heavenly lake”, is the highest saltwater lake in the world.
