Monks and residents in Tibet are praying for the passengers on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 that went missing more than two days ago.
“I hope the jet will be found soon and the people on it safe and sound,” said Phuntsog, a monk from Meru Monastery.
Phuntsog took out his smartphone and checked on latest news updates every now and then. His thoughts were with the 12 crew members and 227 passengers on the flight.
Choying posted a picture of Thangka painting and “Om mani padma hum,” the six-syllabled mantra of good omen in Tibetan on the mobile social networking application.
“A safe journey home, MH370,” read the post.
“I pray for world peace and a year full of hope,” Drolkar said while turning a prayer wheel.
