The Temple Built On The Elephant Trunks

Barrqude Temple

The car, after leaving Lang County, crossed the bridge on the Ya River and started to pass through the canyon. I saw bull boat for the 1st time not far away from the county. The boatman sat inside and rowed the boat briskly with 2 oars.

We were reaching Lang County when Suolang, who was accompanying us, pointed at the other side of the Ya River and asked if we had seen the shape of a trunk. I gave it a close look and realized that the broad col was like the ear of an elephant and the temple appeared to be located on the elephant trunk. The long “trunk” dragged all the way into the river to “drink” from it. It was the Barrqude Temple, Suolang told us.
